Ben Jones, Owner and Systems Engineer, brings nearly 20 years of IT experience to Rooted Technology Solutions. His professional career began as an IT Administrator for a local bank, where he shadowed and worked in each department to understand their roles and needs. This hands-on approach—learning the business first before supporting it—shaped the client-focused philosophy he drives at Rooted, ensuring technology solutions align with what matters most to you.

Ben has obtained several prestigious certifications, including Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert in Private Cloud and Server Infrastructure, Cisco Certified Network Associate and Design Associate, and VMware Certified Professional in Data Center Virtualization, and he continues to study and stay at the forefront of the ever-changing technology landscape. He studied Business and Management Information Systems at Coastal Alabama Community College and the University of West Florida, gaining insights that deepened his understanding of how technology supports business goals. Ben’s passion lies in resilient infrastructure and cybersecurity—specializing in industries with high compliance and regulatory demands, like healthcare, finance, and public utilities. He believes every business deserves a cybersecurity-first mindset, protecting your data and brand efficiently without sacrificing functionality.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska—of all places—Ben has enjoyed calling the Gulf Coast home for nearly 30 years. Ben and his wife Amy Jo have three sons and a daughter and live in Fairhope, AL. Ben enjoyes the fellowship of his church community and getting outdoors with his family in the backyard, on bikes, or at the beach.
